Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address placed in a search form goes to the outside company that supplies results. Hamilton Residents Directory does not save a copy of those searches. A direct message is used only to read and answer the message.
Information Logged Automatically
Routine hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and visit time. Aggregated data helps operate the service and understand readership. Cookies or similar tools can support basic measurement and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
Use of Limited Information
Limited data supports operation, diagnostics, audience measurement, and content maintenance. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual visitor profiles are not created.
Links to Other Websites
Hamilton and Ohio portals, library collections, archives, and external search tools set their own privacy terms. Those terms control information sent to them, including a submission made through sponsored results run by another company.
Providers and Required Disclosure
Hosting and support vendors may process the server-log information described above. Analytics or advertising partners can receive automatic technical data. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it and otherwise only as stated here.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the uses listed above. Since no accounts exist, Hamilton Residents Directory does not keep visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
The service is for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information, and it will be removed.
Choices About Your Information
Depending on location, a visitor may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service holds. Ohio has no broad consumer-privacy law creating a universal government opt-out; ORC Chapter 1354 addresses qualifying cybersecurity programs and does not remove public records. Because little is retained, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page. A record held by Ohio, Butler County, or Hamilton must be corrected through its originating custodian.
